Welcome to the Traylor Estates public web page. Our neighborhood features approximately 150 homes nestled among quiet, wooded lots and tree-lined streets. While we are convenient to the shopping and restaurants of the Bon Air area, Stony Point Fashion Park, and Chesterfield Town Center, we are also fortunate enough to enjoy the peaceful sounds and sights of nature, birds, and the occasional deer among us. Residents enjoy walking and running along our streets and are often out walking our dogs.
One of the gems of Traylor Estates is the 2.53 acre river front property, which is available for use by all Traylor Estates residents. Located off Cherokee Road, the Traylor Estates Riverfront Recreation Area (TERRA) consists of a private picnic area with a park style charcoal grill, park benches, and a boat ramp for river access. Access to the river front is by key only, as the area is gated. Neighbors convene here for planned or impromptu social gatherings.
Three neighborhood schools are located within our community: J.B. Fisher Elementary, St. Michaels Episcopal School, and Trinity Episcopal School. Convenient access to all parts of Richmond is available via nearby Huguenot Road and the Huguenot Bridge, Chippenham Parkway to the Willey Bridge or the Powhite Parkway and Downtown Expressway.
Traylor Estates encourages its residents to become involved in our neighborhood through committee involvement to help keep our neighborhood a wonderful place to live. There are opportunities to serve as a volunteer board member of our self-managed HOA, or as a committee member for our welcoming or social planning committees. Our business affairs are managed by the Traylor Estates Civic Association, formed in 1964, to promote the safety and welfare of its residents and to ensure that the Traylor Estates area is properly maintained, and to manage the river front property. It promotes adult and children's social and recreational activities and publishes periodic newsletters with information of interest to the neighborhood. Stephen Lord is the current president for the 2017-2018 year term. Annual association fees/dues are $75.
